“Housing’s New Era"
On June 9, the National Housing Conference (NHC) honored the Federal Home Loan Banks’ Affordable Housing Program (AHP) at the "Housing Person of the Year" gala held at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. It was attended by more than 800 industry leaders to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the program, which has provided more than $4 billion for housing and community development. MERS was the presentation sponsor at the gala and took the lead in funding an innovative new video that debuted at the event, featuring NHC President and CEO Maureen Friar. Friar’s message in the four-minute “Housing’s New Era” video is that it’s time to work together to make sure affordable housing remains a national priority.
