Brendon Weiss: Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer

Brendon Weiss is Chief Operating Officer of MERSCORP Holdings, Inc. In this role, Brendon oversees the Customer Group, the Member Services Organization, Marketing and Media, and the eCommerce and Industry Initiatives group while also identifying new business opportunities.

Prior to joining MERSCORP Holdings, Inc. in November 2016, Brendon was Co-Head of Government Affairs at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), a leading provider of financial market infrastructure. Joining ICE as part of the 2013 acquisition of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Brendon led many of the policy and industry initiatives important to ICE and the NYSE. He also chaired an industry committee created to improve the market structure for smaller public companies, managed the NYSE Institutional Traders Advisory Committee, and was a speaker at industry conferences. Before NYSE, Brendon worked for Porterfield, Fettig & Sears, LLC, the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), and the U.S. House of Representatives.

He received a Bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University and an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Freddy Feliz: Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Freddy Feliz serves as Senior Vice President and MERSCORP Holdings’ Chief Information Officer. In this role, Freddy oversees management of the company’s data systems, technology development and support services, telecommunications, and office security systems.

Freddy joined MERSCORP Holdings in June 2011. Prior to joining the company, he served in various IT management and technical roles specializing in software development, data architecture, and program management.

Freddy holds a B.S. in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from INTEC University in the Dominican Republic, and an M.S. in Computer Science from the City College of New York.

Sharon Horstkamp: Senior Vice President, Chief Legal and Legislative Officer and Corporate Secretary

Sharon Horstkamp serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal and Legislative Officer, and Corporate Secretary for MERSCORP Holdings, Inc. Sharon has been with the company since 1997 and has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to defending the companies against litigation threats, with repeated success. She has displayed consistently strong leadership for the Law Department and is a vocal advocate as a member of the company’s senior leadership team. She oversees all litigation matters, as well as relationships with outside counsel, title companies and mortgage insurance companies. Sharon played a key role in gaining approval for MERS to serve as the original mortgagee as nominee for the originator of mortgage loans.

Sharon has written many articles on MERS including "Ready, Set … MERS" (Title News, July/August 1999, volume 78, Number 4); and "Chapter 13 Trustees and MERS" (NACTT Quarterly, fall issue 2005); as well as spoken on the topic of MERS to numerous audiences including the American College of Mortgage Attorneys.

Before joining MERS, Sharon was a litigator with law firms in New Jersey and Virginia. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar and the Virginia State Bar. She holds a B.A. from Albright College in Reading, PA and a law degree from the University of Richmond.

Amanda Crowley: Vice President, Internal Audit

Amanda Crowley serves as Vice President, Internal Audit for MERSCORP Holdings, Inc. She reports directly to the Audit and Finance Committee of Maroon Holding LLC and administratively to the President and CEO Bill Beckmann. In this role, Amanda is responsible for all internal audit activities and assisting the Audit and Finance Committee with fulfilling its responsibilities.

Amanda has more than 27 years of experience in the audit field including corporate compliance and governance, public offerings, Sarbanes Oxley, interactions with oversight entities and establishing an internal audit function. She joined MERSCORP Holdings, Inc. from Freddie Mac where she was directing a team responsible for auditing one of the top servicers under the Making Home Affordable Program. Prior to Freddie Mac, she was the Internal Audit Director at World Kitchen, Internal Audit Director at Sunrise Senior Living and held various audit/compliance roles at INTELSAT. She began her career at KPMG becoming a Chartered Accountant in the UK and then transferring to the USA.

Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Wales, College Cardiff in the United Kingdom. She is a Certified Internal Auditor, a Certified Information Systems Auditor, a Certified Fraud Examiner and a licensed CPA in the State of Virginia and is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She resides in Haymarket, Va. with her husband and two children.

Sharon Horstkamp was elected to serve as Corporate Secretary for Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc. (MERS).

Before joining MERS, Sharon was a litigator with law firms in New Jersey and Virginia. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar and the Virginia State Bar. She holds a B.A. from Albright College in Reading, PA and a law degree from the University of Richmond, Richmond, VA.

Courtenay Dunn: Associate Secretary

Courtenay Dunn serves as Associate Secretary for Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc., and counsel for MERSCORP Holdings, Inc. Courtenay’s areas of responsibility include litigation, legislative affairs and policy, and corporate law.

Prior to joining MERSCORP Holdings, Courtenay practiced as a litigator in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Courtenay is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and has served the bar, the legal profession, and her legal and local communities in a variety of volunteer and appointed positions for over a decade.

Courtenay is a member of the Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey bars. She earned a B.A. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from the West Chester University of Pennsylvania, with minors in French and English, and a J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law.

Timothy Renner: Associate Secretary

Tim Renner serves as Associate Secretary for Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc. and corporate counsel for MERSCORP Holdings, Inc. Tim’s areas of responsibility include general corporate law, membership compliance issues, litigation, chain of title issues, and the Corporate Resolution Management System (CRMS).

Prior to joining MERSCORP Holdings, Tim held several positions as a researcher and advocate of international human rights, clerked for the New Orleans Public Defenders Office, and volunteered with Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services in Washington, DC.

Tim is a member of the Maryland State Bar. He holds a B.A. from the University of South Florida, an M.A. from American University, and a J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans.
